Lampwork Classes

Students must be 16 years of age and those under 18 must have a parent with them for the entire time of the class.
Payment for the class is needed at the time of signup. Student may cancel with full refund up to 7 days before the class. No refunds will be given after that date. Classes that are not filled can be cancelled at the option of the studio. Full refund, or credit for an alternative class is the choice of the student.
Classes are scheduled on 1st Saturday of the month 3rd Sunday of the month 4th Thursday of the month (Half or full day class) 2nd & 3rd Thursday evening or by appointment with 2 or more students |
Beginning Lampworking – Intro to bead making No experience necessary. This is the class to see if lampworking is for you. We'll introduce you to this wonderful art form starting with safety first. After learning how to safely work in a hot glass studio, you will use an oxygen/propane torch to actually melt glass and wind it on a wire called a mandrel then form it into a bead. (The wire is what makes the hole in the bead.) We will also demonstrate and let you try different ways to “decorate” a bead to show you how some of those fancy beads are made. Price - $100 with a class size of no more than four students for lots of personalized instruction.
